ACT

Milena López is the Head of Research and Development for North and Latin America at ACT. She is based in New York City and has over 25 years of experience in commodities, decarbonization projects, and sustainability products. She develops new strategies and products to help corporations and governments achieve their sustainability targets. Before joining ACT, she worked as a trader of environmental financial products, commodities, and as a structurer in investment banking, trading houses, and private equity firms in London and New York. She has participated in several UN COPs as a climate change expert and was one of the first to trade carbon offsets and carbon allowances when the market began in Europe in 2005. She applies her STEM skills to decarbonization and net-zero targets and has received several awards, including the Energy Deal of the Year (2011) and the Environmental Finance Award for Carbon Deal of the Year (2007), while working in private equity and investment banking.
